About Kathleen Teahan For the People, Against the Tide

 June 2024 – It’s been three years since I published For the People, Against the Tide, (2021) about my ten years (1997-2007) in the Massachusetts Legislature. Our U. S. and Massachusetts politics have not improved in the past seventeen years since then. However, I am very hopeful for our future because of the many people striving to make this world a better place for all of us. In this new section of my website, REASONS TO HOPE, I will share the wisdom, the works, and the words of those people who give me hope.

The first names who come to mind are Dan and Marilyn Brielmann who created the website e-awakening.com. I met the Brielmanns through Alan French, former chair of the Bay Circuit Alliance, whom I helped with legislation for increasing the 230-mile Bay Circuit Trail from Plum Island on the North Shore to Kingston Bay, Duxbury, on the South Shore. The Brielman focus on the preservation of land and the protection of our environment, both so important to our physical and mental well-being.
